I got this $20 bill as a gift from my Granfather. I would like to get your help to identify this paper bill as real. Thanks in advance for your help

Look closely at the dates and signature. If real it will have faded ink color to brown. if they are black most likely a copy. They have been making copies for many years. You can still buy them as souvenirs in shops.
Thanks Gary

I can't make out the serial number in the photo. If you google the number you can find out if the number is legitimate or one of the many counterfeits.

I will also point out that most Counterfeit Confederate Notes/Bills were printed using Dot Matrix Printers. If you are familiar with this type of printing, then all you need is a good Gem Loupe and inspect the printing on the Note/Bill.
