I was out at the house demo site yesterday and got a weak signal at 2" under a loose clump of dirt. I kicked the dirt with my toe and could see something shiney inside a piece of plastic wrap with a metal tie forming a small baggie.Along with the shiney was a small amount of leafy substance resembeling marijuana or perhaps tobacco. I opened it up and found what appeared to be a gold ladies engagement ring with 20 sparkling small diamonds. The leafy substance wasn't dope or tobacco rather smelled of spice and/or herbs, something like that. The ring itself was smashed almost flat. I could tell it wasn't real gold as part of the gold finish was flaking off. There is no markings or anything inside the band to tell just what it is made of , but it looks very much like a lot of costume jewelry I have seen. It is not attracted to a magnet, but that doesn't mean much. Anyway, I tossed the small bag and contents except for the ring. I got to thinking about it and remembered I had once been acquainted with a gypsy reader who would sometimes make up things like that as a good luck charm or perhaps to place a curse on someone. For a small fee she would give the bundle to someone and often instruct them to bury it in a specific place. Of the many stories she told me, it may have been given to an unhappy bride who wanted to get out of a bad marriage or something like that. What do you think? Did I dig up a gypsy curse or perhaps something related to the supernatural? Monty
