Hi, folks...
While roll hunting a box of nickels today, I came upon one that looked terribly odd to me. The front looked terribly worn, yet with a strong rim and the back looked normal for it's age and level of circulation. I asked around, and I have been told that it's a struck through capped die error. I read how they were formed, and it's pretty interesting.
I have no clue about error coin values. Would anyone know about how much such a coin would go for? Thanks.
Here's a picture of it. I put it next to another 2000-D for reference.
