I'm trying to locate a 2001 Mercury 2 stroke 60hp engine throttle gear kit.
My cables are fine, Mercury thought they had one, but now saying it's not in stock.
My boat man took the old one off already, and we're having trouble locating the replacement. I'm trying to get it before lobster season starts next week.

Any help or info on where to find one, quick, is much appreciated.

I will have to admit you had me scratching my head for a minute waiting to see what kind of treasure related item that would be by the title! [emoji4]

Try this --Boats.net===2001 mercury outboard parts----cant promise anything , but worth a try----tom

Try this outfit! Simply type in your serial number and a parts schematic of the whole motor will come up in various sections.

Thanks a lot guys, I found the part!
I had posted up on shipwrecks also. I saw Ropefish got him an entire new diesel engine, within like a week..... I figured it was a good shot, for my little ole part, lol.
Rob, boat get you to treasure spots, to find treasure. I got a lot of lobster treasure outta this boat over the last decade or so! LOL. I wanna go to Peanut Island one day, play around there some md-ing.

I think that boat . net was outta my hometown, one of the places I called was.
Mercury has had the part on back-order till 8/3, then said, it may back-order after that, no garuntee.

I found the part a Doller Offshore down here in Hollywood. Was able to get the contact info for a gal name Dana, and she is a gem!
Info, if ya'll wanna take note, put in phonebook, whatever. It NEVER hurts, to have as many contacts for things, as possible!
Doller Offshore Marine 954-237-0332, 800-376-0340

Now I gotta try and figure out how to update this thread for "found".
Thanks a lot guys!

I could only mark it "sold", there was no "completed"......
