Hello,
I am new to this and really need help with this 2003 penny I found. I find it very interesting. I could use any info anyone may have about this penny. My pictures are not the greatest sorry.

I have added more pictures in a reply below, was having trouble loading them on to updated post. I know I had a few replies saying it post mint damage. Could someone explain why all the words are still on it and the letters or head are not flattened or disformed other than the ridges of the diamond shape. I'm curious to know. Always open to ideas and perspective of others as I stated I'm new and eager to learn!!! None the less I find this penny very interesting!!! Thank you all!!

It's hard to tell if that's a minting error or damage to the coin. There are definitely some odd spots on it. If you can post some pics that are more clear, that would probably help a lot. Either way, I'd hang on to it. You never know :D

It really appears to be Post Mint Damage but due to the quality of the pics, there is no way to really tell.

I have to say with the rims mashed flat this has to be Pmd.

I agree, I think it is just damaged.

I will try to get better pictures and post them today. Thank you!

Yep, (PMD) Post Mint Damage. It is highly likely that someone squeezed the coin between some wire mesh.

or a bench vice

Thank you all for your input! Very much appreciated.
