2005 American Bison Error?? (update guess not)

Need some help on this guys. Picked up another $20 from the bank in nickles. Found this one '05 American Bison. Wanting to know if this is some kind of error. The center appears to be raised mor than what is typical. Let me know if you need more angles. Thanks in advanced.

looks like somebody tried to sauder another piece of meatl and could not get it to stick or maybe a piece of plastic.

The bison stamp is in the extra metal from what I can tell, so that it was there when it was struck.

I was thinking clear glue as well, but if in person it looks like a bison stamped on top a foreign chunk of metal I could see that being the case too. I'd see if i could scrape it off with my fingernail...

ok. got home to take more pictres. Could not get anything off with fingernail. So I utilized a thumb tack... bingo...My eyes had deceived my along with my fingers. What felt as if it were stamped was air bubbles. It was indeed glue as chunks of clear residue came off from the thumb tack... darn my rookie eyes. Tnak you alll.
