Other than myself, is anyone else saving the low mintages 2009' P&D dimes & nickels? I do dimes, and have noticed a drastic decline in finding them in boxes or bags. Last year I was pulling about 10-box. Now it's only 3-4 per box, or even zero on four boxes during last two weeks. I definitely think they are going to become silent semi-key sleepers within the next ten years. Your comments.

I have been saving them all, Just because of what you mention at the end....Silent SemiKey Sleepers..lol....thats how i feel about them

I haven't seen a 2009 ANYTHING in 2 weeks (other than pennies)

I dont see it but i could be wrong the combined mintage is 146,000,000 i dont think they will ever be collectable. I do however collect the satin finish coins they are far more attractive as far as mintage numbers go, the 2010 satin finish is about 500,000 coins. Just my opinion of course.....

The satin finish for pennies are worth about $10 a piece. I like to collect pennies and nickels pre-1960 and dimes and quarters pre-1965.

The problem is everyone heard about the low mintages for the 2009 coins, so they were hoarded in BU condition. They'll be like the 1883 no cents nickel... too many in excellent condition. The value probably won't ever go that high. But, I'm saving them anyway... :)
