All Treasure Hunting
This being my first year at detecting I had a Blast to say the least.Other than some copper that I've already took to the scrap yard and a bucket of scap lead I have buried and can't get to very easy this is what I have found picked up.99% has come from the river with the paper pieces coming from a old house I'd went in last spring.Enjoy you All!

"Fantastic!" doesn't do justice to your FIRST YEAR of finds!! You've found at least two pieces (if not more) which any museum would covet (spoon mold and rare Continentl Army button); you've found countless more humble artifacts which 'tell the story' of how people lived; you've knocked yourself out researching this stuff; you've found cobs we drool over; you've kept a record of it all; and you shared it all with us!!!! Thank you 'TimerKiller"!!! It doesn't gt any better than this!!! :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumright: :headbang: :hello2:

Thanks Johnny,it's been a pleasure getting to know you and everyone else!Nice having a call guy to share finds with buddy! There is one find this year that I can not and is not noway of posting that being the peace I've found in myself and the joy to live life with out the aid of drugs!I owe alot of that to this hobby. As it has become away for me to release, and have something in the end to show for it.It's been tough at times with the old devil wanting to rare his horns but each day gets easyier and the feelings fade faster.Never been clean this long in my life from my first year as a teenager.
Take Care Buddy,

WTG!! Outstanding finds! Happy new year!

Great stuff!!A few of those Old Coppers came out of the river in great shape .Can you believe that Electric bill for a Dollar!!That is a huge amount of finds, where do you find room to store it?

Pete, I am without words, buddy! :notworthy: You are truly an amazing hunter and I'm glad I have been able to get to know you on this forum over the past year.

That spoon mold alone is enough for a banner year. The cut silvers, cobs, Rev War button, and coppers are just the sweet icing on your 2009 cake! :notworthy: :headbang:

I am wishing you another successful season in '10, Pete!!! :hello2:

Kyle

I think you have to quit! Noone should do so well their first year! You will be spoiled now and hard to control if you continue with such great finds! ;D I think the Spoon Mold will be remembered by many on this forum as one of the top finds of the year, without a doubt! :hello2:

Don

Here is that tangled mess of buckles spread out!

I guess you hijacked this thread didn't you. :-\

Oh yeah, you started it. :D

Awesome year Pete. This is the stuff people hope to find in a lifetime. Me, in two lifetimes. :P

I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone's got the balls to show you up. You gave the Brits. a run for the money this year.

Now you got to set goals for 2010. That's going to be though. ::)

Kyle and I also have had a great time viewing your posts and getting to know the Colonial Timekiller. Your finds have always been awesome and I can't wait to see what else you dig on these Colonial port sites. :headbang: :notworthy: You must dig and dig and dig until there are no more cut silvers on that riverbank. :headbang:

Keep the passion high!

Kirk
