2011 Class Ring & My Treasure Ship Display! Update, Ring Returned!
I got out yesterday to hunt a local park. I found the usual amount of clad and pull tabs.
And I found a 1941 wheat penny & a Love bracelet. Then I found a girls class ring from a local high school!
It's from the class of 2011. I guess they give these kids their class rings before they graduate now a days.
It has her name on the side & her initials inside it. So I called the school when I got home.
They said they would let the young lady know I had found her ring & give her my contact info..
I will update this story after I meet with her to give it back.
This past weekend I was telling a few people on here about my treasure ship display that I put all the jewelry I find in.
So I thought I would post some pictures of it on here. Notice that the ship is made from skeleton bones & skulls!
All the jewelry in there I have found over the years.
Some of you might have seen this display before on one of RTDE3's post from a few years ago.
But it has changed some since then. Hope you like it!
UPDATE!
I met today with the young lady who's ring I found and returned it to her! She said she had lost it a few weeks ago at a soccer game. She was there to watch her cousin play and ironically took it off her finger for the first time and put it in her pocket so she would not loose it .
And some how she did. She was very happy to have it back. She gave me a really nice card that thanked me for tracking her down & returning something that was so important to her. She said she will always tell the story of how her class ring was returned by someone who metal detected. And how I was happy to return it to her for only a thank you. Her mother came along with her & she thanked me also. She said her daughter had not had the ring very long & was pretty upset when she lost it. So this story now has a happy ending! See pictures below.
