2016 Totals for a Newbie

I really started hunting in mid-October. So I am pretty pleased with the results for the year. A HUGE part of my success is due to the awesome knowledge sharing from the members here and in other forums. Thank you and happy hunting in 2017.

18 Gold rings, 8 Silver rings and 3 other silver items. A total of 3,615 targets dug in 164 hours of hunting with the CZ-21.

Photo of the items below as well as what it looks like in front of my apt. and has since mid-December. It looks like this about 18 hours a day right now so it is almost impossible to hunt. This isn't even the busiest part of the beach.

In about a week 90% of them will be gone and I'll be looking for the stuff they left. There is only really one maybe two others that hunt seriously here. 2017 should be a good year.

That's just sick... I just finished posting my year end finds, and I had 19 gold rings... I expect I dug in excess of 20,000 targets this year, probably closer to 30,000 with my rough calculations of finds per hour... Wow, I wish my gold percentages were like you folks on the beaches!

Well, I hunted during the lowest season more or less. There were a couple of holidays in there where things got a little crowded. Most of the days I had a fairly open beach up until about 11:00am. Most of the time I only have to watch out for runners/walkers. Brazilians seem to have a personal space and depth perception issue.

During this period of holidays as you can see it is impossible to swing a coil. Pretty from 6am to well after dark it is like this.
