Got off to a late start this year, but it was a good start nonetheless. Picked up two boxes of halves over the weekend, and both gave up silver!

The first box gave up just two 90%ers:

1906D Barber
1953 Ben

This is only my second Barber half since joining this site back in 2012! Took me a decade to find two Barbers out in the wild.

8-) 8-) 8-)

The second box gave up more than just two keepers. It gave up 17 40%ers:

1967 x 3
1968D x 9
1969D x 5

Very happy with this start to hunting this year! Very happy!

Wow, great start! Still hunting for my first Barber. My first box last week was a skunk, but the second one gave up 3-40s, a '64 and two Walkers.

Picked up two boxes of halves over the weekend, one of which was a skunk.

The other box gave up four keepers, one 90%er and three 40%ers:

1964
1966
1967
1968D

Nice finds... Haven't hunted for past two years due to pandemic and bank closures or limited hrs... This does seem promising to start again.

Picked up a box of halves last night that gave up three 40%ers, ending a month-long skunk streak:

1966
1967
1968D

Picked up a box of halves + $500 in CWR of dimes over the weekend. This was the first time I was able to search dimes this year, actually the first time since about this time last year.

Managed to find two Roosies out of the CWR:

1960D
1964

The box of halves gave up a lone 90%er: 1964.

Not too shabby.

After a looong skunk streak, I finally pulled some silver from a box of halves:

1959D Ben
1968D x 2
