Me & the hub were digging bottles about a month ago when we heard warning sirens going off .They were testing them i guess & they were very loud ones !! We were pretty damn close to them too.Scared the S@#! out of both of us ! Had ringin' in my ears for a while ! Thought the "War Pigs" were coming !

Nice finds, gotta love those pull tabs. Not sure if you read my post
this month about my water finds from Vacation. I found over 400 bottle
caps and over 150 pull tabs at one area I was hunting. Also found
other goodies, but you have to dig the junk to get the good stuff.

I'm not sure what that naked lady thing is either, but I do like the
shape of it. Ha! ha!

Not a bad day, at least you found a couple of goodies. Some places sound the siren to take cover. Around here when it goes off, it means step outside and check the weather. If the neighbors patio chairs are going by, then we take cover. LOL

In Columbus Ohio, the siren means "there's a rain storm coming...quick let's panic before it turns into a tornado."

Cops eventually rosted all the boaters and me out of the water, driving up and down the river shouting through bull horns.

Naked lady thing is a newer electric lighter molded in the body..couldn't find her head.

2oz sinker to the head? Is that what that thump was?

A bad day in the water beats any day on the ground in the august heat, humidity and bugs.

Besides, I can go pee whenever I want when I'm there...not like when I in a baseball field and have to walk half a mile to find a tree.

Thats it !!! A while after the sirens went off there was a HUGEMOUS down pour ! I mean it was coming down too ! We were soaking wet and as we tried to drive back home on the highway we COULD NOT see the road.I had to pull over until it slacked off.Then we would take off again and it would do the same thing .Everyone on the highway was going 10 miles per hour !We had to stop at least 3 or 4 times If anyone here is from The piedmont triad area they will tell you too. I think it was a month or two ago.We were near a large river & i think thats why they sounded the alarm... ,flooding !! Never thought about til you mentioned a siren for rain storms.
