Had a plan, and it was a good one, but it didn't work out so we went free-styling.

The first spot we went Dave got find of the day with a scarce Dime. I guess that is where I got the token too.
Next place was trash on trash with mostly no good signals, was about to say "NEXT" when I popped out an indian head cent, 1889, coincidence...I found one yesterday solo hunt, with the same date. No big deal for many, but I'm not in the US, and only get a couple / few of these per year.

Anyway ended up with,

DINKY wheelbarrow (cool but a little broke)
2 CAN. cents
1816 Brock hp token
1889 IH cent
tiny ball button.

Was a great day in the out-of-doors, above ground, and digging in it.
Last pic is what the token should like. believe it or not this is better than one other I have like it.

Nice finds! Congrats!

I'm in the US and I haven't dug one yet! Guess it's all about location.

You might need a bigger wheelbarrow for those IH.

Nice.
I love IH's. Only found 2 so far but they're still some of my favorite finds.
Congrats.

Yep, not too many Indian heads to be found at many of our sites here either

If you recall, last fall I found two ihs in the same hunt, from two different sites, first time that has ever happened in over twenty years of detecting, shows ya how few made it to our fields

Always great to find a new site

Nice Indians! Cool token!

Gotta love the Indians. Nice finds

Nice finds bud. For some reason most of the ih's I find seem to clean up pretty well, as opposed to a large cent. I found one recently that was completely encased in crust and sure enough there was a nice looking coin under there

More American coins up there eh:icon_scratch:

Nice digs man.

Do i sense tension???

Had a great time Rick, I really like that little wheelbarrow.

Good finds...I found that same token this past summer...a first for me.

I'm guessing not too common a find around here, just checked it is the only "upper canada" token I got. Like to find the "NO LABOUR NO BREAD", and the LESSLIE 1822 2 pence.

That makes perfect sense, the IH's being better condition on average than LC's, I would guess it is mainly because of being in the ground for less time.

I don't have all that many of them, but pretty much all have some degree of corrosion, A couple of the newer ones are not too bad. Funny that I have got a first and last year of issue, the 1859 is very toast, and holed, the 1908 is probably the best condition.

You guys find some of the coolest tokens.

great finds. I'm hopin to find some more goodies before it starts freezin up around here.

Congrats on some nice finds, Rick! I hope some of your luck rubbed off onto that ATP you sold me! ;-D

Great finds. Love those Indians.
