Hi all,
I am quite pleased to add a second large copper of the year to my collection. Being only March in NH there is still lots of snow on the ground. My dog and I went for a hike out in the woods about a 1/4 mile from a cellar hole that my partner and I hunted last year.
I put my backpack down on a spot and set up the detector and started to detect some small spots under trees that was bare of snow. After 2 minutes I got a super high signal that sounded like silver. I dug through two inches of snow and about 5 inches deep came an 1820 large cent. This is the only large copper I have ever found that gave a signal like silver on my Minelab. It was fairly well preserved too. I hope this is a good sign of the upcoming season 8)
