Went back 2 the civil war recuiment barracks I had researched. Still Looking for my maine state seal button, Three hours working the woods, I did manage my first 3 ringer, a mini ball, a few other misc relics , then on my way back 2 truck I stumbled on this nice old compact marked pompeian bloom, I googled it and came up with a 1926 ad for it in ladies home journal! It even opens up! It was in a pretty dry spot!! I found enough 2 keep me going back !! I will keep u posted!!

Great finds!

That Pompeian Bloom must have been VERY popular with the ladies. . . :D

I found this one last month along a forest preserve creek bank near Chicago.
Was there still any stuff left inside in the one you found?

Take care,
