Yesterday I was planning on taking off on another mega road trip. Silly me didn't even check the weather. As I'm pulling out of the driveway, I turn on the radio. It just so happens that the station it was tuned to was pretty much where I was heading...and they said that they were expecting snow, sleet, and/or freezing rain within the hour. So I chickened out and just picked up a few boxes of various denominations from a few local banks.
Cents:
8 wheats (1945x2, 1946, 1949x2, 1955D, 1957D, 1958D)
11.48% copper
Nickels:
Box 1: 11 Pre-'60 (1941, 1942, 1946, 1947, 1954, 1954D, 1956D, 1958, 1958Dx2, 1959D), 2009D
Box2: 16 Pre-'60 (1939, 1940, 1941x2, 1946, 1946D, 1947D, 1949, 1951, 1952, 1953D, 1954D, 1956Dx2, 1957D, 1958D), 2009Dx2
Dimes:
Box 1: 1964D
Box 2: 1962D, 1964Dx3
Box 3: SKUNK
The cents and nickels were disappointing, but the dimes were a bit of a pleasant surprise. I tried 8 boxes last year and only found 1 silver Rosie. Hopefully the weather cooperates next week and I can take my road trip.
