Neatest find was a pewter one piece button. it is a very fancy flower pattern sort of like a cast iron fence.(not sure what proper term is but this thing must have been a bugger to make with this detail.)I tried to get all the dirt out but it started to flake so I had to spray it. Also got a brass sign and a spoon handle with all sorts of patterns on it. My oldest coin was a 1912 wheat cent. Also got a 1954 wheat cent and my only silver was a 1959 Washington quarter. According to temp gauge on car it was 5 degrees out when I started but once I was moving it dropped to 3. When I was done for the day it had warmed to a sweltering 25. I had on 2 pairs of pants,2 long sleeve shirts, a hoodie, 2 jackets, and my insulated gloves. And the wind still bit like a bugger. The ground is frozen for the most part and starting to get to point where you cant even chop it with shovel. But I got silver so it was worth it. Also got a very heavy chunk of lead bigger then a soft ball, copper pipe, brass pipe, and brass chunks for the scrap pile.
