3 E600 Bench Test Results

My new Equinox 600 had the new software installed by the vendor so I have no way to compare with the original software. Using Noise Cancel i was able to run the E600 in my apartment and tested 3 items with the following results. It was in Park 2.

1945 quarter: 31
1942 50 cents: 34
14k thin lady's ring: 9

Actually, you can download the update file and actually roll back the software to the previous version, if you wanted to. But I wouldn't bother.

Dont get too hung up on air testing targets for VDI numbers. Good to have a reference point, but In the field, a lot if factors can influence those numbers to change slightly, and in the case of high conductors, maybe by several numbers. Look for fairly steady repeatable numbers and dig it all if not ferrous and more importantly listen to the tones. The tones, especially at 50 tones, can tell you a lot about the nature of a target. Enjoy your new detector.

The numbers are Target ID on the Equinox corresponding the objects listed.
