Howdy TNters! I hunt mostly pre-1900 home sites, so as is common, I find fewer coins/relics, but they are generally older. I have only 1 seated Liberty prior to yesterday, 1853 half dime. I gained permission on this property late spring of this year and it had 6 homes shown in 1872, with only 1 still standing. Yesterday my two hunting buddies, MaDDog and DirtDigger and I searched 4 of these. Two were virgin and two I had hunted in the spring. MaDDog got a beautiful 66 IH, Perfect specimen, no wear.
I was able to get my 1st Seated Dime 1875, is badly worn though. Still awesome! A nice Fatty 63 IH and a Large I button, really cool. The iron relic’s blade is about 2 1/2" wide and the total length is 3 1/2". All comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.
Keep Swinging!!

Awesome button! Like the hoe. HH!

Took me 30 something years to get my first Seated dime, so thats a nice find in my book ! Still looking for that first thick IHP here, probably will never happen, they seem impossible to find. Nice digs there mudd =)

That's a nice assortment, beat or not that's a nice seated!

Nice block I. Must have been a Confederate soldier that lived there, or a Yankee who brought that back as a souvenier..

Love The I button Most of all.

Can you read the back mark?

Great finds. I like that old hoe. This is too wild because I had two firsts today, a IH 18?5, and an 1877? seated Liberty dime. They're in pretty rough shape, but I'm just glad to finally start finding something old. I found them where they're tearing up the sidewalks in town. I get so many tones, I really don't know what to dig, so I just dig the repeating signals. I've got one hell of a lot to learn.

I guess I actually had 3 firsts too. I also dug my first 1977 quarter. ;D

Steve in PA, I finally had a few minutes to search the net. I did'nt realize I had a Confederate button, My First!! I also saw they are rarer than the Union buttons, on the whole anyways. It will be a Great addition to my Civil War relic collection. Glad i don't have to purchase one, $$$. LOL Thanks for the great comments and Keep Swinging!!
