Really yesterday's finds. Only the second time detecting since covid in July. Hit the beach south of Ft Pierce Inlet around where I found a couple of 1715 artifacts and the bomb. First checked in front of dunes to see if anything washed out. Zip! Not enough weather here I guess. Thank the Lord. Then the washover area where the waves broke over the cut, which was maybe 3-4 feet at the highest. Nada. Finally checked the bottom of the cut and down to the water. Terribly mushy and sloped under the cut. Not the greatest place for detecting yesterday. Just picked up a few things. But, I did find my first half, my first spent rifle cartridge, and a first that I'll give everyone a chance to see if they come to the same conclusion as me. I know what I think it is, but I don't want to ruin the fun. For a size perspective I circled it in red in the group shot. 20220930_210058.webp

Looks like a silver crown for dental work.

Nice!!! Congrats!!

Thanks. Tells me why it was a 10-11 on the Legend. Appreciate all the feedback from everyone.
I don't know what a "legend" is.... I assume you are referring to a metal detector... if so I do not own one.

That did not take long. Glad to see people had the same ID as me. Thinking of taking it to my dentist to see if he could give an approximate age. Thanks for the replies.
Gee I'm thinking buying that crown might be an option for the Mrs.
A tad amount of crazy glue, and a $$$$ of savings. :laughing7:
