No pull tabs is awesome. I went out yesterday for about 3 hours and found all the pull tabs, beer cans and bottle tops for the both of us Lol. Didn't find but 12 pieces of clad and one 1964 quarter.

Crusader, I thought about it too, but where I was was far away from where people play, etc. now, where I think more detectorists would go. The whole area has been a busy area since the 1600's. I found a still-open area that has not been urbanized, so I am looking for more historical things there. But please note, I don't only detect to find stuff, it gets me outside and moving

I share your pain, I went out yesterday to a spot in the middle of the woods (field, at least one mile from any modern road) start doing woods surrounding field, absolutely no targets. First target I come upon I dig, four double A batteries just under the leaves ( metal detector batteries?). I come out of the woods, go to the closest house (different property), that I was waiting for it to be a little later in the morning before I knocked on the door and knocked. A old woman comes to the door and tells me " no you can't detect here, my husband and son both have been detecting here for over 20 years" (probably there batteries, in other nearby property?) My hardest thing is finding untouched areas. The next two houses I go to, no one home. Ugh.

Well that explains it (no pull tabs)! The pull tabs are terrified of you! You can turn them into something useful!
