Actually they only protected you if you were dating women named Agnes, Mabel, or Beckie, exact spelling.
Plus, they probably cost a days wages back in the 20's

Didnt have to research it, I already knew what it was when I read your thread title. Found quite a few of those myself. If you find both halves together, be careful if you are going to open it ! Just sayin !!! Might be an unpleasant surprise.
