Obviously internal combustion vehicles never catch on fire, so that means electric vehicles must be inferior. 🙄And they say electric vehicles are the wave of the future.
Of course they do. However the idea that electric vehicles are some how superior is also incorrect. They both have their problems and their place.. And the biggest problem with an electric vehicle catching fire is there is no easy way to put the fire out. Particularly with newer batteries. They burn extremely hot.Obviously internal combustion vehicles never catch on fire, so that means electric vehicles must be inferior. 🙄
I believe that any alternative to fossil fuels is most definitely our savior. It takes time to perfect the technology and optimize the supply chain, but you cant write it off because it isn't instantly flawless. Also the mining of materials for batteries doesn't create anywhere near the environmental issue that's created by the entire planet burning fossil fuels. Its not even comparable.Of course they do. My point is many believe electric vehicles to be the savior of our planet. And that is not true either. The materials needed to make batteries is just as likely to cause environmental problems as internal combustion engines.
No easy answers.
The battery takes several cycles to break-in properly. Not supposed to run the battery down too low at first. I recall instructions saying to drive it around the block then recharge, repeat a few times.I believe that any alternative to fossil fuels is most definitely our savior. About six years ago I bought bike motor and battery. I paid about $550. Easy to install. Prices haven’t change much. The name is Voilamart. The battery is LiFePo4. I really like it. Put a lot of miles on it—thousands. Battery does not have the initial torque it had when new but it still goes good . Clocks it at 31 mph the other day with one of those roadside radar machines. Bicycles are dangerous. I had two close calls in crosswalks. Did a front wheel stand trying to stop. Don’t even think about riding without running lights.Edited again ...![]()

E-Bikes are banned from many apartment rental buildings. It seems that folks switch out the batteries for a stronger one, works great till it burns the place down, or just explodes.Good thing it happened where it did and not after a 2 1/2 mile ride and PARKED IN THE GARAGE.. and with owner now sitting inside smiling with glee from the cool ride ... sipping that ice cold Slurpee totally unaware.

That definitely looks like internal combustion to me.Obviously internal combustion vehicles never catch on fire, so that means electric vehicles must be inferior. 🙄
