Hit a place recently where I hoped I would pick up the remaining 5 silvers towards my goal at. Unfortunately (and I'm not complaining about a 3 silver day by any means) I missed my goal by 2. Ended up with a deep barber dime that was unfortunately in a bit of gravel and got scratched coming out, a '52 Washington and a '52 Rosie. Also a bunch of wheats and one of the crustiest Indians I've ever dug. Was able to get a date of 1906 on it but the rest of the details are heavily crusted over. Same with most of the wheats. Must be some heavy mineralization in the soil there as all deep and old pennies come out crusty. Good day of digging. Only 2 more silver to go before the end of the year and I'll be satisfied. Not sure what I'm going to do next year.....all my honey holes are pretty much kaput. I've swept them all with my etrac + several different coils and this year with the CTX. Not much left but zincolns and other pennies now.
Happy hunting all!!
