First one, I can't really explain it other than its solid on the bottom part and about 4-5" long.

The second and third items are smaller and make a "cling " like a precious metal and are hardly tarnished for the depth they were at.

I know the last item is a piece from a brass snap hook.

Your first picture is a rolled up top of a sardine can.
Your ring thing is e rein guide.
And your little bar with the bur sticking up is a thumb latch to a clip.

That's not a rein-guide, it's another form of horse-harness equipment called a swivel, part of bit-&-bridle-harness hardware. See the diagram from the 1909 Pierson-&-Hough harness supply catalog. Since apparently part of it is broken off, it could be any of the four versions of swivels shown on that page... but I think it's most likely to be the Dowlin swivel.
