Hunted today at the sandbar creek, but only found sinkers and memorial pennies. So I moved up to the area between the trail and the creek. It's pretty overgrown right now, but I've found many things there in the past. Today, I found a silver Roosie (1946) as soon as I walked in there. A little later I found an old pocket spill of three wheaties, a Jeff nickel and a silver quarter (1941). Then I found this gold filled pin and on the way out I plucked a 1941 merc. I also found a Seagrams medal, which didn't hold up well in the ground and a few wheaties and nickels. Surprisingly, I only found one clad piece, a dime.

Here's the silver and the pin:

Way to go on the silver, and that's a sweet medal!

Nice silver & pin. I wonder what that pin is for, like what's the SS mean and whats the significance of the second year? Do the Presbyterians have a contest going that spans multiple years? LOL

Nice silver and a great looking pin.

I used to have a pin exactly like that Bob and I grew up in Delco so if you are hunting there it might be mine!!! LOL Anyway they gave them out at Sunday school for each year of perfect attendance.

sweet stuff bob! you say you have hit this spot before! there must be a ton of good stuff up there if this is your leftovers!! ;) nice stuff as usual!

Keith,
Yea, I've been hunting this area off and on for more than 20 years. So far, I've found 119 silvers there, only 3 of which came from the creek. When I first started hunting there, I'd come out with 10 or 12 silvers and beaucoup wheaties. Now they come out in dribs and drabs. You might remember the Seated Lib, Standing Lib and Barber quarters from there that I posted last winter. To top it off, I took some of my buddies there in the past and they did pretty good in there too. Maybe we can take a ride there some Sunday and you and your brother can check it out. It's real overgrown right now, but there's no ticks there now. If you're interested, PM me. See ya'.

Great finds Bob !!!!!!!!!!!! I found a gold cross pen quite a while back and I still got it, since then I've found 2 more cross pens but neither one of them was gold. HH
