I haven't got out much in the last 2 weeks, cause my 8 inch coil on my CZ-5 went bad about 2-3 weeks ago, and was unrepairable. But, thanks to POPPYGOL, here on the forum, I'm back in business.
I bought a replacement 8 inch CZ coil from him, and gave it a test run today.
(I did manage to find 3 mercs about a week and a half ago using a Bounty Hunter Discovery, but MAN, am I glad to get my CZ back in my hands!)
I found a new, random patch of woods today, and decided to give it a try for a couple of hours, and I got a little lucky.
I found 4 oldies all in the same hole. Got a great sound, and dug a 1916 Walker at about 4 inches. Then rechecked the hole and got the 34 Washinton Quarter at about 2 inches down below the Walker. Checked again, and found the 35 Merc a little lower than the Quarter. Then, last but not least, the Buffalo was in there too, somewhere down near the Merc.
That was it for the hole. The top row in the photos is everything from the one hole.
A little later I found another Buffalo, and a few wheats.
I still haven't checked the dates on the Buffs yet.
The last 2 photos are the silvers after a rinsing.
Thanks for looking. H.H. everyone.
