Went out 3 days in a row and Zilch. nada.nothing. Whats going on> I am doing a rare afternoon hunt at one of my emergency beaches . I need to hear that lowtone!! Hope everyone else is doing better than me.

Sorry to hear your not finding anything, but it also makes me feel better, as yesterday all I got was sunglasses a cell phone and change. May your next trip be better!

Same here good luck soon ... I have been pounding 3 beaches since 7/16 daily and finding nothing but small amounts of clad.. each beach has a surf rake or beach sifter pulled by a tractor dunno how much this has to do with it if any. I know for sure i have been getting lots of fly bites on the ankles tho.. i hate to use too much deet on me, don't want to turn into a mutant LOL .. HH Paul

Get some Skin-So-Soft from AVON Put some in a sprayer bottle and keep it with your gear. Spray it on before you hunt and you won't have the buy biting problem. :wink:

Seems like the beaches are not producing that much this year. With the economy the way it is either more people are staying home or they are leaving valuables and most of their change at home before heading out. What was $10.00 to $12.00 in clad per visit to the beach last year is now only $2.00 to $5.00 this year. So we are hit with a dry spell. Also, I think all of those commercials showing people on the beach using detectors has awaken people as to what it is we are really doing :icon_jokercolor:
