Hello Fellow Forumites,

Today, I met my buddy, Mike(oknorom), at a heavily detected park, which has produced a constant stream of silver and wheats for us over the past 10 months. Counting today, I have found 32 silver coins, and hundreds of wheats from this great park. I was getting a little tired always looking over my shoulder in the Barrio parks this week, so this park was a relief.

I detected about a half day today, and managed 5 silver coins(2 mercs, 2 rosies, 1 war nickel), and 30 wheaties. Most of the oldies were around 5-7", except for one rosie, a '64, which was 1/2" under the surface. I thought about trying to get two more for my #600 milestone, but decided to call it a day, and beat the freeway traffic for the drive home.

Thanks for looking, and Happy Hunting!!

Dan

Sweet Dan. I would have done the same thing and waited for the next hunt. You know you're going to hit 600 on the next one. The weather is supposed to be lower 50's here Saturday and Sunday so hopefully I'll have some goodies to post in a few days.

Nice finds ,I love to see mercs.I think they are the best looking coin ever minted, except the walking half.Great finds and goodluck on 600.

Big Dan strikes again! Buddy, each time I read one of your threads, I am taken over by "professionalism." You have some mad skills, my friend.

I hope you are enjoying your KirkPA dolls. :P ;) :D ;D

P.S. 700 maybe? :)

Very nice haul. It just goes to show that there's no such thing as a hunted out park

YOU-DA-MAN Dan :o always look forward to seeing your post ! congrats ;)

hey dan, if you find an old park to hunt in that is a decent size, how do you choose where to start hunting? where things are now is not necessarily where they were 100 years ago...............

Another nice haul Captain.

I went to one of those parks where you are always looking over the shoulder in the summertime & had a hard time concentrating on the signals, wondering if someone was going to jump me from behind the whole time I was there. I didn't have a good metal detecting day then, & I wound up leaving early...

Wow, congrats on the silver :)
