Fantastic finds Kredek, congrats! ?That's a beautiful pile of history. ?Leopold the 1st, known as the Hogmouth because of his chin features in the Numismatist world. ?They say the chin comes from inbreeding and these royalists were probably in many cases hemophiliacs. ?I also found a silver coin from Leopold the 1st, have to look for it to be sure what the denomination it is. ?HH, Mike ? ?
I guess what we need is a bigger digging tool, like your last picture! It looks like at least some of the coins were placed in a cloth bag of some type, probably of more interest to a museum than the coins themselves. Monty
All those finds were found on my friend's field. The field was prepared for construction, so that's explain 'heavy drill' That's a very helpful tool
I've found many things there before (like two coins from 1140 A.D about 200 yards from here, two years ago) , but always there's something buried deeper, you know so when heavy tools came around, I could'nt left that untouched
Very nice finds. I'm soooo envious at all that history you uncovered. You're so lucky... Again nice finds... My 1st wife is from Konigshutte Poland....
