Made it out with a hunting buddy back to his early 1800’s site yesterday. The site was also part of the city park in the early 1900’s and then a city home for boys. So depending on which area you swing you could get quite different stuff and some areas are a mix.
I focused on pounding the cellar hole slowly and got a bunch of buttons and clasps.

One of the finds rang up really low, a VDI of 6 on the Nox. Thought it was a shankless button, but could see a bit of the wreath. I told my buddy that I thought it was a 3 Cent Nickel, he thought it was a button. Hit it with some Andres pencil and white vinegar.

This is my 3rd 3 Cent Nickel in 2019. I seem to be good at finding the odd ball coins, not so much with silver coins.

But I did find a GW quarter and Matron.

Here is the rest of the stuff.

Here is some info on the pendant.

We are heading out one more time tomorrow to this site. I’m bringing a rake as the leaves are about 4” thick around the cellar and want to just give it one more slow go with my sniper coil after the leaves are removed.
Good luck out there!
