4/27/13 Horse Tack and Buckle??

Hey all...late April outing,

I am assuming this is a large buckle off some horse/mule tack. Not too sure about the smaller item, though. I found these at an 1800's homestead..(the same site i found a early era large cent.)

Any opinions out there. The knowledge on this forum never ceases to amaze me!!
