4 Boxes of halves! *Last minute silver!*

Hey everyone, today I picked up $2k of the $10k or so boxes I ordered from banks. I decided to just go with halves *Brinks* today since I had nothing going on. To say the least, it was nerve wrecking, but in the end it all worked out. The first box, I noticed alot of halves marked with red marker on the coins, maybe a bad batch? Either way, I got skunked. Box #2, same thing, SKUNKED. Box 3, here I come. But wait, what's this? ANOTHER marked box of coins...skunked. At this point, you can guess I was getting a bit on edge, so I took an hour break or something and went for a run, came back and decided to knock out the 4th box. I'd say my luck changed a little...

Box 1: Skunked

Box 2: Skunked

Box 3: Skunked

And good ol' box #4: (2) Kennedy's 1964, (3) Kennedy's 1968, (1) Kennedy 1967, and on the LAST roll, a nice lookin' 1953 Ben Franklin


I sure can't complain with 7 silver pieces in one box and not to mention my first Franklin piece...I think I'm in love. Haha.

I wish you all luck and I have some more halves in the morning to open up after I dump these which I will post on.

i've had a couple boxes saved in the 48-50th roll range....I think only once or twice tho on the 50th roll!

Nice finds! I love it when I find silver on the FIRST roll, lol thats actually what happened to my first rosie, its was from the first ever dime roll I opened. (thats was about it in the 360 rolls I opened so far)

congrats on box 4. I got skunked on a box of halves today myself - except for a few NIFC's including two nice shinny '87s (P & D) and two well circulated proofs - '82S & '85S. I know skunks are just part of the game but they sure do stink - but the scores are sure sweet when you get 'em.
