Went back to my new "honey hole" the same site I found the Harrison political button. There is so much area to cover here, but im only using my 5" shooter coil. it really helps to pick the goodies out between the iron. It has been so long since I had a multiple copper day. 2 Large Cents 1849 & 1853, a 1882 Canadian one cent and a 1864 2 cent piece.
I just love it when theres a little variety. also found a hand, a 1925 wheat, a pretty cool intact lantern part, and some decorative piece probably for fake flowers or a small candle... its going to be pretty hard to top this hunt, thanks for

I was sure you'd get more out of that site.

Good day of tectin' you had.

about topping this day...I wouldn't be too sure about that, it happens. Like you said lot of area to cover.

The statue / doll would have been really cool if complete.

Good luck on your next trip.

this site is supposedly "hunted out" by these 2 guys i run into every so often, once or twice a year
i either see them in my area, or theyll see me in theirs. i call them Laurel & Hardy,... they said to me... "you wont find anything up there, we hunted all those sites to death. they told me this a year ago, ... so i put it in the back of my mind to try when i have the time, its a small mountain 40 miles out of town. .. but its not about the gas or distance, to me its about enjoying the day out.

I think the hand and the lantern part go together. Miniature Statue of Liberty. Very nice finds.

The Lantern knob says E.M.&CO THE SOLAR" ..so i Googled it and the same thing is on ebay for $35.00 bucks, has nothing to do with the bronze hand. and all 3 relics are from different sites, its a wagon trail intersection with 3 sites, cellar holes of barns, houses, sheds, stables .. etc etc... big big area. so many times id get a sweet 5-6inch signal, my mind would start racing because you know it could be anything.
and its a common slug.

Great finds, honey hole for sure! GL & HH!

Nice digs! I love those multi copper days, just wish there were more of them lol...

Awesome finds! Thanks for sharing...

Sometimes I think those kind of comments are a bluff to try and get you to turn the other way. I'm glad you went anyhow, great finds! Congrats!

Very nice finds. Congrats.

Maybe Laurel & Hardy can point you towards some other hunted out spots.

I would agree with treble hunter. I think it's said as a bluff and if it is hit really hard head to the iron. A lot of people find the iron patches to tough or annoying to work in. As for me I'm ok with iit. Just hunted a place and noticed a lot of dig holes, but in the iron picked the high tones and out came a nice 1 reall and a 1794 liberty cap.

So, my point is nothing is hunted out

Awesome day! :blob3::blob9::blob6::blob3: Awesome peaceful rural site has you persistently eking out multiple good finds! :icon_thumright:

I echo the "go for the iron" suggestion, tho I'm sure you already do that! My biggest honker gold ring was dug on the most iron-infested section of a nasty little iron-infested beach that others avoid - the ring had been there nestled near big iron for decades & was covered with thin skin of iron. Have Fun! Andi

Just for the record, I was joking about the hand and lantern being the Statue of Liberty . Lol

WTG on the goodies!
