4" searchcoil....
I recently purchased a new Tesoro metal detector (silver u-max) to replace an older Radio Shack (bounty hunter) metal detector that I wasn't too happy with.....to make a long story short, I don't think it goes down very deep. Anyways...Today I was looking through Radio Shack and found a searchcoil to fit my old detector...4" and says it's for searching for gold. It was on sale, $5.00 normally $30.00. So I bought it, and thought I would try using it in conjunction with my new detector, or just to experiment with it. Do you guys have any suggestions to help me be more successful with this coil? The thing sure looks wierd on my metal detector, it's so small!!!
