Hi All,
Super excited to share my find from today. I was back to my favorite park in the Philly burbs. This park has been awesome to me over the last year. Was killing it last year with my AT Pro and now its a whole new ball game with my Equinox 800. Finds to date(one year) in this park:
1 Barber dime
2 Jefferson Silvers
4 Mercs
4 Silver Wash
15 Buffalo Nickels(some one cherry picked the silver but left the Buffs for my 800 to eat up)
200 Wheats?
Ton of clad
So today I was in a new area of the park and got a so-so signal on my 800(it was a strong 20 VDI....which is weird...I'm thinking bottle cap). Anyway, I start digging and start seeing pieces of black vinyl and then a zipper. My pinpointer going crazy in the hole. I pull out some of the vinyl and I almost lose it....I see a pile of coins...and I see silver! Turns out I found a coin wallet lost in 1939...how do I know 1939? The most modern coin in the pile is an uncirculated looking 1939 Merc. I haven't cleaned all the coins yet but here is what I see:
1934 Wash Quarter
1939 Merc dime
Buff Nickel(year?)
1938 and 1938 Jeff Nickel
1906 Canadian One cent
A William Penn commerative token showing a 1683 treaty signing(couldn't find anywhere online)
12 Wheats(Havent looked at dates.
I'll try to circle back at some point and share pics of the coins.
Tx for looking.
Rich
