$400 in halves

Got $400 in halves yesterday. They yeilded
2 1967 40%
2 1968 40%

I guess thats not to bad. Was hoping for some 90%ers but oh well.
Also credit union had $1000 worth of halves but $400 is all they would sell me. They told me others come in and ask for them sometimes.

What a bummer when you find out you've got comeptition but it's decent of the CU to be diplomatic about it. WTG on the silvers!

A little bit of silver is better than none! Thats strange that they would only sell you 400.00. I had a bank that wouldn't sell me the last roll they had. Either they had a bank policy which required them to hold 10.00 at all times or else they were all silver and they were keeping em for themselves. I would go back to a different teller and try to get more. I drained my main back of about 1200.00 halves and came out with about 40-50 40%ers. I seem to have better chances with loose halves thats where I get my 90%ers. The tellers know they are worth something so they keep them aside. They are usually ladies so I just come up with a big smile on my face and they break down and give em to me
