my daughter found a 43 steel penny at work. some people spend money without thinking.

I found two a couple months back in the take/leave dish at the post office..

In all seriousness ..they aren't worth much more then a penny..lol.. I look at em as a novelty

It is funny how we remember strange past things. I remember in 1955 or 56 my dad had a roll of 1955 double dated pennys. and was complaining about them . I do not know what he did with them But I know for some reason he was unhappy about them. We used to have people from work come over and play poker on friday evenings.
It is like AABattery said some people have NO IDEA what there spending

I remember finding them as a kid (starting hunting 1975 age 12 ...all metal machine)
the first few i didnt know what they were - i had rusted half disc then got a rusted whole disc but no detail and just junked them
then i found one in a spill and looked closely at it and though it was rusted could see wheat stalks and could see outline of head - adults had just started using discrim. machines and wouldnt find them - they didnt care- but i thought it was cool
i did find one with just light rust that wouldve been XF condition without the rust
once again - not a big deal but though it was cool

I've found 3 or 4 of them while detecting....all with a pin pointer after finding other non-ferrous targets in the same hole.
