Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Your 20 centavos Philippine coin was minted in Denver; nearly 29 million were minted.
They're worth a couple of bucks in average condition (VF to EF).
Don.......

That's pretty neat :) Never knew the US had minted something like that and I would have been thrown for a loop till I researched it. Cool little spill. Good recovery on the ring as well. Welcome and keep swinging :)

I've found a few of those "Filapinas" coins here in San Diego too. In one particular park, I found 4 of them, 10 to 50 centavos.

I found a Filipino myself... She is now my wife...;)

The US minted these as provisional coinage, much as we might for a colony. They were intended to tide the PI over.

We were closely allied with the Philippines before, during and after the war. Their economy was in a shambles and needed the boost.

I've found 50c pieces myself.
