IMG_8500.webpIMG_8501.webpWhen I started detecting nearly 3 yrs ago I wanted to find a rev war button and 1800 silver coins(of course gold coins would do ) I didn't find any 1800 silver till this year when I just happened to dig my first a 1878 Morgan silver dollar I was amazed it wasnt until the other day I got my second another bucket lister 1835 capped bust quarter today at the same property I got off to a slow start because of some work being done at the house my first find a nice 1851 large cent then a nj copper which is coming out nice I'll post better pics when it's looking better but to cap the night off I've been doing his property not only for coins but for rev war stuff . Tonight I found my first rev war button 45 th regiment button in great condition!!!!! Not only is it rev war its local militia not from my town but a adjoining county GW thought the British were going to attack West Point so by rapid march out of New Jersey into ny and set up camp and stayed approx three weeks some troops stayed longer they were scattered all over and I haven't been able to find a button until tonight! I am stoked hope u like it as much as I do!IMG_8476.webpIMG_8477.webpIMG_8480.webpIMG_8495.webpIMG_8497.webpIMG_8491.webpIMG_8498.webp

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

Those are really great saves.

What is to the left of the LC?

That was a nice hunt, congrats on the button and LC. Looks like you're onto a good site! Keep on hitting it:icon_thumright:

Very nice finds. That button is a treasure! And your LC is really nice, killer detail!

Best of luck to you sir!

Congrat's on some very nice finds on the Rev War Regimental button and the LC. Christmas has come early to your home.

Now aren't you glad you got into this hobby! I bet you stare at the ground when you walk and see the potential in every yard you pass. Well, it looks like its working! Nice collection you got going there.

Awesome finds!

That's a sweet hunt. Congrats. Beat that place up!!!

Bunch of good finds. But I'm not convinced by that 'button', the numbers look modern & the reverse is all wrong. We need better pictures for an ID.

I agree. Those buttons had really narrow lines on the top of the 4 and the curvy scrolls lines on the 5. I thought the back looked odd when I saw it. Can you post up some good pics of the back.

Looks like a bale seal to me unfortunately but still a great find. I like the LC.

I've looked and I don't believe that's a 45th Reg. The numbers are very different. With the two tabs and the sunken back, I believe it's part of a lead seal. Taken in context with the other finds such as the late Large Cent and the cut nail, I believe it's from about the same period. 1850's-

Nice largie however

Hi; That would make it a Civ war Button. I'm not sure now but I think it is a Rev War Button IMO. I'll wait for the replies and better pictures ok. PEACE:RONB

Congratualtions on the nice coin and relics! :occasion14:

I'll post new pics I think it says on the back bottom EIRE on the top maybe EF no shank IMG_8516.webpIMG_8517.webpIMG_8517.webpIMG_8518.webp

Sweet! Congrats!

I don't know how old that is. Almost looks like railroad button. Rev War buttons never had backmarks on them.
