45 Wheats in One Hunt and My First 1800's Silver!

I went detecting today with my Dad like we always do on Saturday and the rain made us go to a spot were we have hit heavily this year. Thought I would try a spot where we never hit that hard and it was good that I did because I started getting wheat pennies every step and most were 2-3 inches down. We spent around three hours there and I ended up with 45 wheat that were mostly from the 1940's but I did get one 1919. My dad ended up with 12 wheat pennies and three silvers for the day. I also got my first 1800's silver this week which was a 18*8 Victoria Canadian Dime. I have dug a hand full of old coppers and a lot of 1800's Indian heads so it feels good to get the monkey off my back. Thanks for looking.

Nice hunt.
I love that dime.
That is a bucket-lister for me too.

Nice getting your first 1800's silver which I'll say it's a 1888 as they didn't mint a /68 or 78 and the /98 has a different portrait.

A day to remember for us I am sure. It may take a while until we dig that many wheat cents in a single hunt again.

Dad
