I got out for 4 hours today. tore my wetsuit just below the zipper, so it was just going to be a shallow wading except the lake is at least 15 degrees warmer than the weather man says it is. oh well it was fun anyway. found 5 of those copper bent nails, lots of junk and can slaw, 1.5 lbs. of sinkers, an odd swivel and an odd iron piece that looks like it has a long nail in it. the wetsuit is an easy repair it tore just above an iron on patch the previous owner put on so it was probably there to begin with. I will sew it up with spiderwire that will hold much better. maybe use some wetsuit cement too.

happy hunting to all.

Maybe retitle the thread to "5/21/13 Beach Cleaning" :) That is a nice assortment of weights if you are a fisherman!

Lead is worth about 92 cents a pound now..... save it up, you'll be amazed at how fast it adds up.
For that matter save the aluminum too... crush it as flat as you can to save space but here again since your haulin it out you may as well get paid for it...
Oh, and copper is over 3 bucks a pound +/-
