Your find count will inprove with this coil, not because it is deeper but gets around the trash better. You can expect about 8 or 9" inches in most ground. Due to different ground minerals and other factors there is no ONE max depth ability.

It is worth your while to purchase a 5.75 coil. It is excellent for separating and locating small targets.

On my last hunt of the year I decieded to try the 5.75 concentrenic coil that I bought when purchased my Cibola (which is a very fine detector by the way). It was in a very trashy location and it did an excellent job of separating targets. Found a tiny silver ring at a good depth and was impressed with the coin count. One more thing, pinpointing is a breeze with this coil. Much better than the stock coil. It is a very important weapon in your mding arsenal as it excels in trashy areas. My advice, if you can afford it. Get one. You wont' be disappointed.

I love the 5.75 widescan I see no difference in it and the standard coil depth. Sandman nailed it 8" - 9" for most coins. I have gone over ground I have pounded with other detectors and continue to pull out coins where I thought there were no more.

I have both 5.75"s, and I use them on my Tejon and my LST. You won't be sorry about spending the money. I find myself leaving the 5.75" widescan on my Tejon most of the time. These two coils also work great on the Vaquero.
