5 pointed star on round disk?

I dug this item years ago and refound it stuck back with other items in an old oatmeal box.It has a 5 pointed star and between the points is a pyramid.The disk appears to be made from copper.Star appears to have been stamped onto disk.

It's called a slotted concho. They're often used on "western" wear (i.e. belts, leathergoods, saddles.....)

its a concho from a fancy saddle, I found three the other day at a ranch owned by a friend gave him two kept one here's the one
