5 spots to hunt but not sure if i can. talls weeds and grass Pictures inside.

These spots are at a huge park 1200 acres that was made in 1965 but apparentley there was old homes on the land but no longer there. I went there today and only drove by and everything is overgrown with tall grass and trees.

Its a shame most of the spots dont look like you cant hunt unless you have a field mower with you!

Is there is a time of year in your area when the grass dies? If yes, maybe you could hunt the sites at that time. Even then, you probably should take a rake along.

get yourself a tr/ disc. machine. i hunt in tall grass and right next to trees with mine. you dont have to swing the machine. just move it around

Eddie, I'll bet you don't like metal detecting enough to
swing a yo-yo (sythe) on the tall grass either.

I've read in previous posts about people using a 4x4 piece of plywood to flatten down the tall grass. Just a thought.....

Willie, that really sounds like a lot of work. Unless he's got
a pickup he might have to rope it down on top of the car,
then drag it around on the ground, no too much work too
I betcha.

Wonder if i could ask the park maintenence guys to mow it for me? They were out there today mowing all over the park with those big commerical riding mowers they definitley have the tools to clear it.

But i dont know its so overgrown even some weird bushes grew in will tall thick weeds and grass up to my knees almost. I'm trying to meet up with someone off of here to check it out with me.

Naw Eddie, that probably won't work. Instead of that offer to
run one of their mowers over your hotspots while they are on a
break. Be sure and take some footlongs over at the time they
have lunch. Bring along plenty of Big Slurps and a giant bag of
chips. Time they get all that down you can get grass and weird
bushes chopped down.
Asking them to do it will only make them mad at you. People
who actually have to work for low wages only want one boss to
answer to and you're not him.
But with you doing their work they will like you.
