Managed to get out over the Christmas break on Saturday in the hope of taking my hammered Silver coin total close to the fifty for the year I am hoping fore, Michael my detecting partner winkled one out almost straight away so my hopes were high 
managed a few nice Medieval finds before I had my first Silver but it wasn't the hammered I was hoping for, turned out to be a nice mans size Silver thimble a bit squashed but in nice condition, then I had one of the best Roman Bronze Coins of the year Constantinius I think, reverse Romulus and Remus she wolf suckling twins, then my first hammered(well part of one) one of the Tudors possibly Elizabeth no 47 for the year, a few more bits and pieces came out including a plain strap end(medieval) then a second hammered (broken again) one of the Edwards York mint no 48 for the year. Three days to go and I'm out tomorrow here's hoping for 50
