It was a beautiful day for baseball today; unfortunately, we didn't play. I coach Pony League (13-14) and the team we were scheduled with couldn't field a team. So, I did what came naturally - some detecting! Our field was the local high school football field into the 1960's, so it's been in use for a long time. I've also seen lots of detecting going on, so my goal today was to detect the outfield where my players should have been, finding what others have missed. Among more than a dollar in total, I found a 1962 Rosey and a 1941 wheat; both had been missed by previous hunters. Instead of coaching a game, I got to find silver; I'll take that trade just about any day.
