if you like stuff like that then you sould pay what you would be happy with to have them around.
 

If you purchase the negatives, get a document that will allow you to sell them; an authorization from the seller that they are his and his release of all rights to the negatives. Perhaps a call to your attorney for the correct form would be advised.

I've always understood that if you buy negatives, you have bought the right to publish them. Prints are different and have a lengthy copyright...The life of the photographer, plus 75 years after he dies. If you are buying the negatives for your own personal use, you shouldn't have any problems.
