Met up with some buddies to explore a couple 1800’s dots in the park woods. The first dot ended up being a total bust, stone foundation covered in modern trash dump. Second location had been graded over when we found a cinder block foundation and chimney popping out of the woods a bit further down stream.
The three of us ended up honing in on the side yard and popped 51 wheat pennies in 60 minutes. Many were 1” down or in the leaf clutter, strange but fun burst of digging.
Here is my handful from the weekend, less the wheats.

Been finding lots of old mining artifacts lately, this was a big one.
