Found this today at a site that has produced some very old relics. Several 1800s coins and lots of flat button's. We have also found a few CW relics here. This thing has the bust of a man carved into the glass. It is very detailed if you look at it through a loop. You can make out his hair and shirt collar. He looks like George Washington to me. The metal appears to be brass with gold plating. Thanks for any help on what it may be and age. looks like a watch winder to me. my guess is 1840s-1850s
